Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) – Benchmark is currently looking for a Licensed Professional Engineer to serve in the role of Project Engineer or Project Manager with experience in design, planning and project management in one or more of the following disciplines: roadway, subdivisions, civil site planning, water distribution systems, storm drainage, storm water detention and/or wastewater. We are looking for someone to join our team who has a strong work ethic and has the experience to be able to jump right in and perform and delegate the work necessary to produce construction documents on various types of projects. Duties would include effectively managing all phases of projects from the project start-up (initial planning) to project delivery (construction plans and specifications). Position requires a strong work ethic, good communication skills, effective time management and the ability to work well with others. Experience in AutoCAD and other modeling software is required.
Construction Manager – Benchmark has numerous projects under construction and are currently looking for someone to manage our projects once they start construction and also manage our inspection team. This is a newly created position at Benchmark. Along with managing our inspection team we would hope that this person could review project submittals; review pay requests and other project related details once construction begins; and use critical thinking to provide solutions on construction related issues when they come up as the project progresses. Experience in design, construction or inspection of the construction of roadways, water lines, sewer lines, storm drain lines, grading, erosion control and similar type construction and a history of managing employees would be considered a plus.
Office Manager/Marketing Director – Position is open in the Flowood office. Duties would entail managing the day to day activities in the office such as answering the phones, greeting clients, managing office supplies, entering timesheets, organizing meetings, post job openings, etc. Additionally we intend for this person to know how (or be able to learn) to keep our company website up to date with news, information and project postings and also create posts to market for the company on our Facebook and twitter accounts. Good communication and organization skills required.
