Project Information

In August of 2006, Benchmark Engineering & Surveying, LLC was selected to provide land surveying and civil engineering services as a sub-consultant for the widening of Gluckstadt Road from a two-lane open ditch roadway to a three lane curb and gutter roadway.  The project consisted of widening approximately 2 miles. of Gluckstadt Road from a 22′ open ditch section to a 40′ curb and gutter section with a middle turn lane, and making substantial intersection improvements for channelization which included traffic signals at Bozeman Road.  Benchmark’s role was to provide all surveying and civil engineering services required to prepare a complete set of roadway construction plans, quantities and right-of-way plats and descriptions for bidding of the project and execution of right-of-way acquisition. Benchmark provided all surveying services required which included topographic, boundary surveying and preparing right-of-way/easement plats and descriptions for execution.  Benchmark provided all engineering services required for the design of storm drain, erosion control, water system improvements, box culvert, roadway improvements, traffic control plan, striping and signage plan and the traffic signal.  Plans were delivered and ready for bid in early spring of 2007.
