Benchmark Engineering and Surveying, LLC was engaged to provide engineering services for Hartfield Academy, located on Luckney Road in Flowood, Mississippi in support of the construction of a new parking lot, installation of additional storm drain infrastructure, and construction of a pedestrian bridge over an existing ditch to connect the new parking area with the existing facilities.
As part of the project, Benchmark Engineering conducted a hydraulic analysis to determine water surface elevations at the proposed pedestrian bridge location, ensuring proper design and functionality. The analysis also evaluated the impacts of the proposed parking lot surface and modifications to the ditch, verifying that the project would not adversely affect water surface elevations or downstream conditions.
