Northwest Rankin High School

Benchmark Engineering & Surveying, LLC was selected as the land surveyor and civil site designer for the new Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood. The new school is located on a parcel of property between the existing high school and NWR Middle School and the new school will connect to the existing Middle School. Benchmark was tasked with performing boundary and topographic surveying and all of the civil site design which included the challenge of balancing a site with extremely severe terrain. There were multiple locations on-site where peaks and valleys with over 65′ of elevation change in less than 150′-200′. The project was broken into a Site Package Phase and a Building Package Phase with separate construction documents required for each. The project was completed in 2021.
